The Climate Systems Center aims to:

1. further our understanding of climate change through scientific inquiry

2. promote public engagement activities that communicate climate change science

3. connect UA climate scientists with policymakers in Arizona and beyond

4. provide support for the next generation of climate scientists.

We are a team of faculty, staff, and students at the University of Arizona pursuing fundamental research on climate change, past and future.

We investigate topics like the past and future of the North American monsoon, climate and vulnerability in central America, and El Niño. We are committed to communicating climate science in the Desert Southwest and beyond, and hold regular public talks and Q&A in Tucson.
